IBM Research Creates NANO Microscope 100 Million Times Finer IBM Research Creates Microscope With 100 Million Times Finer Resolution Than Current MRI IBM Research’s nanoMRI microscope IBM Research scientists, in collaboration with the Center for Probing the Nanoscale at Stanford University, have demonstrated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with volume resolution 100 million times finer than conventional MRI. This result, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), signals a significant step forward in tools for molecular biology and nanotechnology by offering the ability to study complex 3D structures at the nanoscale. By extending MRI to such fine resolution, the scientists have created a microscope that, with further development, may ultimately be powerful enough to unravel the structure and interactions of proteins, paving the way for new advances in personalized healthcare and targeted medicine. This achievement stands to impact the study of materials from proteins to integrated circuits for which a detailed understanding of atomic structure is essential. @hbjon Cure first, Stop completely later.

@hbjon easy, there’s no money in a cure.. the money is in the treatment.
September 9th, 2010 on 8:39 pm
@hbjon if they do that how would they make their billion…hhhmmm?
September 9th, 2010 on 8:59 pm
@hbjon probably because this is the next stepping stone to get to that point?

Cool!

wtf is it with your voice?
September 9th, 2010 on 10:03 pm
I hate your voice.

Yeah, your probably right. However, I believe the more ingenius I become, the more entangled in my errors I find myself. I know two things. 1) At a microscopic level, my body is able to manage chemical substances for optimum health. If a computation has been made by myself that an evil has been swallowed, my cells purge the toxin by vomiting. And 2). Your body does not make a mistake, it acts to return to optimum health after any disturbances. The errors are the formation of the disturbances.

medicine is the study of the reactions between molecules and ions, and it correct errors not only in cell reproduction… you need to learn more about science maybe Biochemitry a start.

that is very cool technoligy and hbjon is right they should be exploring how to elimenate not how to change

Does everything have to be geared around medicine? Why not study the reactions between molecules so that we can eliminate the need for medicine. Once we find out what causes the errors in cell reproduction we will have no need for medicine. HBJON
