yeah, i just got a ps3 and found out you can get linux os, and NOW i just found out that that was changed about a year ago! lol i found out something cool and then found out something bad :C

If you’re this interested and committed to features for PS3 you should check out the homebrew scene. People that homebrew reverse-engineer (“hack”) consoles to provide things either a) not previously provided or b) provided but taken away. It’s kind of a constant battle and there are risks, but even if you don’t decide to do it yourself it’s still very interesting stuff to read up on. @AYHAMW300 Not that it matters but Ken Kutagari the father of all things Playstation said it himself, “The playstation 3 is more of a p.c. than a gaming console.”
he said it during an interview at e3 2006… look it up.
This whole Linux thing is a BIG DEAL.
Just cause you never used the feature doesnt mean others didnt.

@AYHAMW300 Yes they did fuck people. You just do not care about Linux other people do. You think everyone thinks like you? A lot of people used linux to surf the net on the PS3 on their HDTV sets.
Companies should not sell features on a product then remove them as they feel fit.
Just because some hacker hacked the PS3 so what 99% of people are not going to copy those games anyway its way to much work.
Microsoft on the first zune could record FM radio Microsoft disabled the feature.

1-Linux is shit i had it on my ps3 and i never used it cuz i got something colud PC.
2– a fact that hacker’s used over 200ps3 to hack a bank
3- you can whatch hulu on ps3. so

@AYHAMW300 The point is Sony is fucking people. You should not be able to sell a product and remove a feature after you used those features to sell a product.
A lot of people have LINUX on their PS3 and watch HULU for free with Firefox browser.

what if you bought a movie or game didnt want to update for the fear of loosing the feature,and you cant watch your movie or download the game cous you paid for it and you cant sign in?

zerogame project has 1000′s of games for linux from every old console. It rox! Any1 that bricked their console os is meh! Buy a used slim, don’t give sony any money. Or wait for the CFW. I also watch live sporting event streams on my hdtv with linux. I’m not giving it up I paid for both! don’t turn your phat into a slim overnight without compenstaion!

I still have a SD TV, when 3D gets released here, I am going to upgrade to a HD 3D TV, and since YD Linux works best with a HD monitor, I was going to install it when I did the final upgrade to HD.
