hey i have a question before i get one, what is the ram this thing take? I wanna know before i get one.
February 3rd, 2012 on 12:32 am
@JasonDolan you need 64 bit for it to get all the ram.

@Duckie4112 OK! I am running Windows server 2003 enterprise now, I get 3.7GB out of the 12GB installed on the server. The rest of the ram is invisible to 32bit system I think.

Holy fuck, All for a minecraft and teamspeak server…

@JasonDolan I run 32bit Windows XP it uses the full 4 gigabytes of RAM i have installed, don’t know why yours is only accepting 3 Gigs. you should try looking around in BIOs there may be a setting in there!

Which OS are you running on your Dell 2650?. Just I keep hearing that it can’t run a 64-bit OS which you need to make use of the ram. If that is true why does my 2650 have the max 12GB of ram if only 3GB can be used on a 32-bit system?. What am I doing wrong.

@Duckie4112 the one i was looking at has a slightly higher cpu clock speed.thanks for replying because i was looking at some other servers but i think i’ll stick with this one.thanks again.oh and what internet speed do you have if you don’t mind me asking
February 3rd, 2012 on 4:07 am
@hezmeister There are actually two PSU’s in the server. You do not need to have both plugged in at the same time, but if one fails the other one will take over. And yes, this box runs Minecraft, Teamspeak, and SA-MP very well for myself. If you get one that has about the same specs as mine you will not have to worry about server performance, but rather your internet bandwith. My internet speed allows maybe 10 people in the server before it starts to lag.
