if i can connect a computer to the internet, how do I distribute the wireless internet from that computer to other computers through wifi (i was thinking maybe i could connect a router or something directly to the computer). Details please.

Basically you need a router and that’s it, however only computers nearby can connect to your router because router signals doesn’t go very far and if it does, it doesn’t have good signal.

Put a wireless router between your computer and the modem. Once you do this, never surf the web without a router between you and the internet. They make great firewalls.
