How can i be an administrator on 2 computers but controlling everything from my personal laptop?

I have 2 computers in my home. One is downstairs (PC and XP) and i have another computer Which is a laptop in my room (Vista PC). I want to be an administrator for both of the computers from my laptop. How can I do this? Please give me a good answer and how to do it step by step.

Install VNC servers on the two machines.

Follow the instructions on the website and you can easily administrate both machines remotely with a full desktop interface in a nice little window.
Window’s Remote Desktop Connection is also an option.
