The Best Lightweight Web Browser for your Mac, Linux or Windows
by admin on Jan.26, 2012, under FreeBSD
www.necopost.com Links2 is one of The Best Fast lightweight Web Browser for your computer. It works on FreeBSD, Linux, Mac OS X, OS Unix, and Windows. Links 2 is also perfect for mobile device like netbooks and tablets because of the low memory usage. I haven’t try Links2 on an Andoid or iOS yet. S, if you want to install Links 2 on your Android or your iOS, try compile the source code or contact the developer website. There have been who report they install it on their PSP. Links is an open source text and graphic web browser with a pull-down menu system. It renders complex pages, has partial HTML 4.0 support (including tables and frames and support for multiple character sets such as UTF-8), supports color and monochrome terminals and allows horizontal scrolling. It is oriented toward visual users who want to retain many typical elements of graphical user interfaces (pop up windows, menus etc.) in a text-only environment. The focus on intuitive usability makes it suitable as a web browser for low-end terminals in libraries, Internet cafes etc. en.wikipedia.org

@monstercameron Chrome is not a lightweight browser. So I wouldn’t compare it with Links2. You could in the other hand, compare Links2 with eLinks.
