For around 400-4000 Terabytes of monthly bandwidth in audio streaming, about how many dedicated servers ?

any estimates would be greatly appreciated. . . or costs, etc.. . i dont think of “unlimited bandwidth” package from a typical webhost is enough for that volume. . . otherwise a site like youtube would’nt spend millions of dollars a day.

People like youtube dont use webhosts. They are their own.
They will buy transit from Telcos and do a thing called peering with other isp’s
Basically they will pay per Mb if traffic goes via a transit and if it goes via a peering link its free.
So lets say they peer with AOL, any person on aol will go via a dedicated link between youtube and aol for free.
If they dont peer , it will go via transit and they will have to pay for the bandwidth.
Youtube / google peer with almost every big ISP.
They will use places like LINX.net to peer.
